Literary & Community Organizing
in New Orleans & beyond
I facilitate radical communities around books—more specifically, the practices of reading and writing, the critical questions and strategies books offer contemporary readers, and the diverse perspectives books offer on what it means to be human.
I moved to New Orleans to contribute my passion, skills, and experience to this vibrant, diverse, and totally singular community.
((field generator))
An experimental reading series in the 504
I co-curate and co-host the new ((field generator)) reading series, which features 1-2 headliners each month and fosters community collaboration. Check out what we're up to on our Substack.
To extend our audience beyond the local community, I also host and produce the ((field generator)) podcast, where I interview the headliners about their recent work & ongoing practice.
New Orleans Poetry Festival
An annual gathering for experimental poetry & poetics
After attending the festival as a non-local writer for two years in a row, I knew I wanted to get involved here. I serve as a Director of the New Orleans Poetry Festival (NOPF), as well as a member of its Development Committee. Learn more about this annual festival, which began as a small, local endeavor and has grown into an international hub for experimental poetics, on the NOPF website.
